Career Technology

About Us

Department Highlights:

The Automotive Technology program sports a state of the art facility and focuses on solving real world problems. It is accredited with the SRJC and students can earn college credit.  Students learn basic theory and practice of the operating systems and maintenance of automobiles.  They also study on computer diagnostic training units and even repair between eight and twelve vehicles per month.

Culinary Arts focuses on preparing students for a career in culinary, offering a full catering operation and kitchen that serve both campus staff and the wider community.  Students engage in hands-on food preparation with emphasis on developing a critical palate, quality food, and teamwork skills.  In addition, students prepare for the ServSafe certification test.

The Sports Medicine program provides in-depth classroom instruction in medical terminology, the mechanism of injury, and the appropriate prognosis and treatment of sprains, strains, dislocations and other sports-related injuries. CPR certification is available to students who wish to be certified.
