Instructor Bio:

The dance program at MCHS has been under the direction of Rose Henry since 2003.  She began studying ballet at the age of six on the East Coast.  In high school, she expanded her knowledge and experience in dance in the East Bay, and continued dancing at UC Davis, where she received her B.S. in Plant Biology.

She decided to pursue her passion for dance at CSU Sacramento, where she earned her teaching credential and M.A. in Education with an emphasis on the Arts.  She continues to develop herself professionally, with a focus on dance curriculum, through various conferences and programs.

Rose Henry thoroughly enjoys working with the students at MCHS.  Each year, she looks forward to exposing students to the various forms of dance, helping them learn and appreciate dance for its artistic, athletic, and aesthetic value.
