For more than a decade, the Maria Carrillo High School Fine Arts Committee (FAC) has provided financial and volunteer support to the visual and performing arts programs at MCHS. FAC has donated over $20,000 for everything from marimbas to microphones, sheet music to soundboards. Volunteers have given their time to sew and fit uniforms and costumes, bake cookies, chaperone field trips, sell performance tickets, design tickets and programs, and much more. Our major projects for the 2009/2010 school year were helping to fund equipment for the new MCHS Drumline and decking out our women choir students in badly needed new uniforms. FAC members also act as boosters to spread the word about our outstanding arts programs.
The Fine Arts Committee meets on the second Wednesday of the month in the MCHS office (teacher's conference room) starting at 5:30pm.
