Physical science is typically taken by 9th grade students at MCHS. The course covers a variety of topics in chemistry, physics, and earth science, including sceintific investigation and progress, waves, astronomy, geology, atmosphere and climate, weather, biogeochemical cycles, and Earth's resources.
Several levels of physical science are offered at MCHS:
- Academic Physical Science
- Physical Science
- Sheltered Physical Science (alternates years with Sheltered Biology)
All levels of physical science fulfill SRCS graduation requirements, but not all are college preparatory. See course descriptions for detail.
