Grading
Grades are earned through the following areas and percentages:
- 50% Daily participation and effort
- 25% Movement skills and knowledge which may include tests, assignments and homework
- 25% Social interaction and attitude: sportsmanship, teamwork, peer interaction
Daily Participation and Effort
- Students will earn 30 points on Mondays and 20 points on block days by: being on time, dressed in the MCHS PE uniform, and participating to the best of their ability.
- Make-up work is required if students with to receive the full participation points for excused absences, field trips or medical excuses
- Students may complete a maximum of five make-ups per semester that are to be turned in no later than the second day of class upon your return.
- Students who refuse to participate cannot make-up participation points. this includes suit-cuts.
